HALLOWEEN at Juice Festival

With just a couple of weeks to go before Halloween (Wed 31 Oct) we thought we’d share some of our Halloween programme highlights to get you in the spooky spirit;

A Spooky Night at the Museum  (For under 10s with their families)

Wed 31 Oct; 4pm – 6pm

Discovery Museum, Tel:  0191 232 6789

Spooky trails around the museum and Halloween themed craft activities, a slime station, a perfect way for young ghosts and ghouls to take over the museum after hours.  Who knows what you’ll meet in the dark corridors at night … Get dressed up and join in the fun, with special prizes for imaginative costumes.

£5 per child – pre booking advised!

Dancing Ghouls and Spooky Spectres (For ages 8+)

Wed 31 Oct; 1.30pm-3pm

Dance City, Tel:  0191 261 0505

Fun, engaging and inclusive dance workshops for young people and their families, exploring the movement of ghostly ghouls and spooky spectres to get you in the Halloween mood.  Workshops will be led by a team of dance practitioners from TIN Arts

Open to both disabled and non-disabled participants and their families.

FREE – pre booking advised.


Happy Halloween Pumpkin Carving (For under 13s and their families.)

Drop into BALTIC this Halloween and help carve 1,500 pumpkins! Dress up in your best spooky costume and get carving creatively with a team of professional artists from BALTIC.  There will be lots of pumpkins available and you can also bring your own.

Mon 29 Oct; 11am – 4pm, Tues 30 Oct; 11am – 4pm, Wed 31 Oct; 11am – 4pm

The event is free and open to all but during busy periods a timing system will operate.

Sensory Spaces
This year on Tuesday 30 and Wednesday 31 October, there will also be a Halloween themed room created by Sensory Spaces, who are specialists in inclusive, multi-sensory arts and play activities.  Children with disabilities, and their families and friends, are particularly welcome.
