Another Juice Festival means another wonderful team of bloggers here to bring you all the news from the festival. So without further ado, here are this years bloggers:
Proudly based in the North East of England, I am a feisty freelance writer, embroidery enthusiast and all round mess-maker. As an advocate for mental health awareness, an unapologetic feminist and a member of the LGBT community, I am often found angrily typing away, and usually covered in glitter. I am the co-founder and editor of strange things? Collective, and am currently on a gap year before going on to study Linguistics and English Literature at the University of York in 2018.
I am 24, live on the coast, and at the beginning of this year I graduated from a Studies in Poetry MA at Durham University. I love to read, especially novels and poetry, and I enjoy going to live literature events. I also write my own poetry, which has been published in a variety of places. I am a big music fan, and I sing and play the guitar. In spring of this year I started learning to play the cajón as well. I like to cook and try new recipes, I have two cats, and I collect dragons!
Hello, I’m Natalie Royal. I am 20 years young and currently study film, media and culture at Teesside University. When I am not in class I am building my own blog based around travel; local and more a far. Therefore, you’re likely to find me up a hill, in a field or even trying to catch a fish somewhere. A lover of life and new adventures, I am keen to explore the world and seek interesting places and events local to me.
Hi, my names Shauna and I’m a student at Teesside university, studying film and television production. I’m my spare time I read and play video games, as well as scriptwrite for whatever my upcomimg film is. At heart I am a director, but I’ve always loved writing since I was very small, even if my dyslexia hindered me sometimes. Even so I have kept my love for writing alive through blogging, scriptwriting and story writing.
I am an English, French and Sociology graduate from Durham University. I’m based in Newcastle and write anything from YA fiction to satirical Brexit poetry. I am currently working on a novella, which I write between my day job and work as part of the backstage crew at my local theatre. I have written for Cuckoo Review and Cuckoo Chronicle.
Hi, I’m Ula, and in my free time I enjoy dying my hair and stroking other people’s cats. I’m currently taking a gap year to find life-enriching work in the North East arts scene before going to study something media or literature-based. Currently I’m working as a life model and a part-time trapeze instructor but I’ve always had a love for writing; I write short poems and plays but I’ve never published anything before. I absolutely love the vibrant and eclectic arts community that brings Juice Festival to life and I’m really looking forward to working with them again.
Ellen Orange – Editor
Hey I’m Ellen. My background is in English Literature which I have an MA in as I’m a huge bookworm! By day I’m a Digital Marketing Officer and by night I love reading, crafts and creative writing/blogging on various platforms. I’m also a keen photographer and adventurer, and even though I’ve lived here all my life, I never tire of exploring the North East. Once a blogger for the festival myself, I’m very excited to be coordinating this year’s team of bloggers!
